1. Summary
AeroBrief is currently provided without user accounts, advertising, in-app purchases, subscriptions or paid monthly plans. The app does not use cross-app tracking or an advertising SDK, and it does not sell or rent personal information.
Most of the information you create or enable in the app stays on your device. The app sends network requests to obtain the weather, airport, map and chart information you ask to view. Those requests necessarily include ordinary internet metadata such as an IP address, request time and user-agent information, which may be processed by the relevant service or hosting providers.
2. Who operates AeroBrief

The legal operator should replace the two bracketed fields before publishing this policy and should keep them consistent with the App Store and applicable law.
3. Information handled on your device
The following information is used locally to provide the app’s features. It is not automatically uploaded by AeroBrief as a user profile.
Preferences and saved data
Settings, favourites, recent airports, map preferences, cached aviation products, saved briefings, route profiles, offline route packs, watch settings and widget data are stored in the app’s local storage. The app uses these values to restore your workspace and provide offline access.
Calendar
Only after you grant Calendar permission and choose a calendar, AeroBrief reads relevant event information on the device to build Daily briefings. Calendar titles, descriptions, account details and raw events are not sent to the AeroWX API. Airport codes derived from a flight event may be used to request weather for those airports.
Location
Only after you grant When In Use Location permission, AeroBrief may use your current position locally to show nearby airports, your position and map context. AeroBrief does not include your precise location in its AeroWX, RainViewer or Overpass requests.
Local notifications
If enabled, the app schedules reminders and advisory watch notifications on the device. They are local notifications, not remote push messages sent from an AeroBrief server. Notification content can be derived from your local route, settings and downloaded weather.
Diagnostics
AeroBrief uses Apple MetricKit and OSLog for on-device diagnostics. The app stores only aggregate diagnostic counts and dates for its own support view and does not upload MetricKit payloads. Log messages are designed not to include calendar titles, precise locations or complete weather reports.
Exports and sharing
When you deliberately export or share a briefing, route or other document, the information is sent to the destination you choose through Apple’s share sheet. That destination’s handling is governed by its own policy.
4. Services and information sent off your device
AeroBrief does not operate an account system. It requests public aviation and map products from the services below. Providers may receive normal connection metadata, including your IP address, time of request, user-agent and requested URL or tile path. Provider retention and use of that metadata is controlled by the provider, not by the local app cache.

These services can change their endpoints, terms or privacy practices. Review their current documentation and policies before relying on this page for provider-specific retention details.
5. Website hosting
This privacy policy may be hosted as a static site on Cloudflare Pages. The page contains no advertising scripts, analytics scripts, contact forms or non-essential cookies. Cloudflare may still process standard website request data for delivery, security and operations under its own policies. Hosting this page does not give Cloudflare access to the app’s on-device calendar, location or cache.

6. Retention and deletion
- On-device data: cached weather, settings and saved content remain on the device until you remove them using the app’s available controls, clear the relevant feature, delete the app, or the operating system removes them. Exported files may remain wherever you chose to share or save them.
- Permissions: you can withdraw Calendar, Location or Notification permission in iOS Settings. The app then stops using the corresponding feature, subject to data already saved locally.
- Network data: AeroBrief does not maintain a user account or a user profile on its own server. AeroWX and other providers may retain request logs or operational records according to their own policies. We do not state a provider retention period that we cannot verify.
- Support requests: if you email support, we use the address and message to respond and may retain the correspondence for support, security or legal record-keeping.
7. Your choices and rights
You can use the app without granting Calendar, Location or Notification permission, although related features will be unavailable or limited. You can manage local data through the app’s settings where those controls are provided, and you can delete the app to remove its local storage.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection regarding personal information processed by the operator. To ask a privacy question or make a request, contact support@webtobeck.eu. Because AeroBrief has no user account, most app data is local and may need to be deleted directly from your device. Requests concerning provider-operated logs may need to be directed to the relevant provider.
Where applicable, you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
8. Security
AeroBrief uses HTTPS for its network requests and limits the information sent to what is needed for the requested feature. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so the operator cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app, its providers or applicable requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will identify the current version. Material changes should also be communicated through the app or its release information where appropriate.
